I suppose I could do an intro. I teach anthropology & archaeology at a Cdn university. Did my training in Glasgow. I specialize in the Viking Age and mortuary archaeology & I dabble in experimental archaeology. In my limited spare time, I practice karate, knit, and occasionally go to SCA events.

This talk was absolutely brilliant. The project is an excellent example of the power of working alongside and collaborating with Indigenous Knowledge Keepers. I’m so excited to see where it goes next. I really want to get some weaving warped up too!

Working on syllabi for my Medieval Archaeology and Archaeology of Death courses. Step 1 is always revise reading lists to include more BIPOC scholarship. Anyone run across anything recent that they found compelling?
