I think complaints about the timeframe are the same. Two years with the park closed could be reasonable with a different result

It also looks like the whole thing was designed to keep maintenance costs to a minimum, when a bit of maintenance would have been a better use of money than a botched redevelopment

I don't think people would have a problem with the amount if the result wasn't significantly worse than what was there before
