Ironically, improving your poetry comes from decentering yourself entirely. The only thing that makes you unique is your ability to form ideas and what you choose to do with them. Only once you see yourself as an equal to every other existing thing can you begin to write from a place of selflessness

I have been reading much of my oldest poems recently. Peering into my forming mind and what kind of poetry (no matter how small) that produced, I think, gives me a better understanding of my own mind.

If I ever pass away, please grow a tree from my body. That way, I can continue the miracle, and anybody who wants to talk to me can sit under my shade and I will protect them.
