I do have some violets that I was told are native to this area. Seller has established a local native nursery and demonstration gardens.

Black chokeberry (aronia) is really pretty and the berries are packed with vitamin C. I used to have it at my previous home but couldn't move it. Looking for new one this year.

Suggestions/ideas based on my experience and other ppl I know, but from Upstate NY... native violets, wild ginger, wild geraniums, false lily-of-the-valley, wild stonecrop. Black chokeberry, serviceberry, chokecherry, flowering dogwood.
