It’s Star Trek Day! 🖖

To mark the occasion I’ve decided to have a “Tribble Treble” and watch the original series’ The Trouble With Tribbles, followed by the animated series’ More Tribbles, More Troubles and then finally Deep Space Nine’s Trials Ans Tribble-ations.

What perfect album came out in the year you turned 16?

It doesn't get any better than this for me. Not a single dud moment, and even the sleeve design by The Designers Republic is top-notch.

In case you were wondering, this was created on an Amiga computer, by Phil Wolstenholme. The album's title is displayed in large, round light blue letters with thick purple outlines. 'u' and 'f' are down the left, with 'o r b' along the bottom.

I just did this and got a fairly high score. I did a couple of similar tests last year and got the same kind of result so nice to get a bit more confirmation.

I was actually in the mood to work on some music for the first time in a while and just remembered that my drum machine can run on batteries, so I’m gonna sit in the garden for a bit and work on some beats. It’s a shame the lights on the buttons are a bit hard to see, though.

Sitting in the nice cool garden having my breakfast and watching a little caterpillar having a walk across the patio. I thought I’d take a photo, which got the attention of one of my cats who was out here with me. They seem to be saying hello to each other.

I’m very much in a ‘90s dance mood at the moment, after spending the last couple of days listening to loads of mid-‘90s Underworld stuff I’m now revisiting this old Cream Live Two album from ‘96 with mixes from Paul Oakenfold, Nick Warren and James Lavelle.

Having a blast from the past and am playing Public Enemy's debut album 'Yo! Bum Rush The Show'. The band themselves admit it was sounding a bit dated when it was released, but it was the first hip-hop album I bought so it'll always be a little special for me. Still got that tape, too...
