Usually at this time of year I'm madly cross stitching gifts for loved ones. It's become a tradition of sorts and I guess it's sort of become my purpose every November/December.
And...I can't. I can't do it. I'm working two jobs, recovering from poor mental health and I am so, so tired.

So I wanted to enter a writing competition tonight but got the deadline time mixed up, thinking it was midnight and so missed it. So I pounded something out for another writing competition by the same company where the deadline was midnight and wow, I'm zazzed by my own stamina.

Thanks for all the support yesterday. Had a day of 'fucking hell, I don't belong in my Main Job™ anymore' because I simply don't. Spent most of the day edging around the groups and working solo only for a colleague to push past me at clocking-out time. I need to get out.

I don't want to leave my Dad's the day after tomorrow. I don't want to do the long journey home which takes up most of the day. I don't want to go back to work on Friday. I don't even want to go to my Saturday job. I want to stay where it's safe and where I can handle my recent sadnesses.

One of the best things about being a Millennial who can't afford her own place is the absolute TREAT that is having the TV all to myself at my Dad's once he and my stepmum have gone to bed.

When I do something that annoys my landlady (in this case leaving laundry in washing machine all night) and have to talk myself out of the 'I AM THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD 🫠🫠🫠' spiral by reminding myself that from experience, she doesn't want apologies, just improvement and also I'm human.

Just realised that next week marks thirteen years since my Nan's passing. Next month will mark eleven years since my Mum's. Christmas is full of emotions because time is ticking on and I'm moving further away from when she was alive. I always think of her, but especially at this time of year.
