I don't know you, but I do work in the NHS!
That's really great news. Keep doing what you're doing as its working 💪 😊

Ah!
But they'd sell up and we, the common people, wouldn't get to experience the history of these estates, or they'd be left to decay.
I get the rent free annoyance but to counter, the history would be lost forever without the arrangement.
The woodlands are often free to access

Was a member years ago, Great days out with the kids, from historical homes to woodlands for walks and gardens for fun.
Took advantage of the free pass last September to visit Biddulph Grange, amazing gardens, load of fun for children, adults and keen gardeners alike.

Wow! Fantastic photograph.
Was lucky to see this, & Jupiter & its bands & 4 moons, & Mars, & Orion nebula through my son's telescope on boxing day night. He's taken some fantastic photos with his phone, on a special mount on the scope. Last pic is from boxing day, other 2 are earlier this year

Had one at my old house NW UK, fine in all weather😊 Never pruned it. Autumn leaves filled 5 x green wheelie bins 😬
I'm picking up another for my Newbuild house garden on Friday. The nurseryman has grown it from seed🌱🌱
Also collecting a River Birch to deal with the swamp area of the garden 💦🌊💦🙄

My main failing is garden plants. 😊
I keep trying, desperately, not to check out the online nurseries but I'm a failure 😔
My garden is beginning to look great though. Can't say the same for my bank balance 😬
Plants of all varieties are addictive 🌱🤷‍♀️

Get the ratios right of brown and green and you'll be right. This is a great example www.thespruce.com/composting-g....
Which Items Are "Greens" and Which Are "Browns" for Composting?
Whenever the subject of composting comes up, the typical advice is to mix greens and browns. Read this page to learn more about each.

You're correct. The bugs in my old ivy were well fed, and huge😱😱

Just don't sow all the seeds.
I was the laughing stock of my gardening club this year 😂😂
Ended up with 25 tomato plants for a 10x8 greenhouse, plus the chilli and the peppers and the aubergine and the cucumber plants.
It was like day of the triffids in there😂😂
Lesson learned 😊😂

Looks really pretty.
Can be a nightmare if it's left to rampage over everything

I currently have pelargonium cuttings on my heat mats. Once rooted, around end of month hopefully 🙏 I'll be starting off my seeds. Tom's, cucumber, pepper, chilli etc along with my RHS seed scheme seeds when they arrive. Oh & sweet peas😊🌱
Heat mats really help. Plus the heater in my greenhouse 😊
