Recently cut way back on my caffeine intake, and now a single Red Bull has me feeling like Snowflame.

Re-reading one of my favorite horror novels in celebration of October! Parts of this book have haunted my dreams for over a decade now. I still remember staying up until 2 AM reading the part in the asylum and giving myself nightmares. It's a fantastically scary and funny book, and it's cheap rn.

Localization for early PSX RPGs was quite rough. It only lasted a couple of years, but it created this unique and irreplaceable vibe. The phrasing felt slightly but noticeably off, and it added to the feeling of being immersed in a strange world. I wonder if there's a way to recapture that feeling.

So this comic was drawn in like 1915 by *the* Rube Goldberg. By all accounts it was pretty mediocre, but the name has aged, uh, interestingly.
