I don't necessarily disagree, but the system is opposed to this kind of drastic change. I do think our best hope is to vote with a vengeance in the 2026 primary and general for representatives who will actually help effect the changes we need to support a more drastic shift in our political system.

I have a disabled roommate with a 14 year old kid. I give them rides whenever I can, and was ready to help with what little I have to make sure they could feed their child, even if it meant skipping a meal for myself.

Most of us have hit harder times... we know how to weather them and how to support each other, and we were willing to endure that to save the lives of other people who struggle. The establishment can't even weather reduced flights over their holiday. Fuck. Them.

I even risked wearing them around my roommate and to the store (hidden under a big, loose coat). The second best part (aside from waking up) was running up and down the steps to/from my room. They're small, but they're weighted and would bounce, and the self-adhering nature made them feel REAL.

I think part of it for me was wondering "why can other guys do this and still be happy as a guy, but it makes me hate myself?" Like... they'll wear makeup, floral and lace clothing, get their hair done, piercings, etc. I was envious of them AND cis women, and nothing I did felt "right."

Oh yeah, I KNOW those kinds of people would not want to give up their cosplay trucks. I do agree something should be done, though. It just irks me how some people call to outright ban them when the kind of critical environmental work I did would not be possible without a vehicle like that.
