They aren't painting, they are jackhammering the street.

If they aren't watching MSNBC or reading the New York Times, they are getting a lot of headlines that are normalizing or celebrating what is happening.

You don't understand what's happening here if you think standing in the street with a sign can't end in prison or death.

Some people will never be ready to potentially lose their relative freedom outside of prison or their life. Those are both realistic consequences to standing against this coup.

Republicans are treating our country the way a private equity treats a long standing company it bought. Fire most of the workers, sell off the real estate, leverage with debt extracted as profit for the PE's investors, then let it fail into bankruptcy. All while claiming "better efficiency".

That is EXACTLY the impression they are under. The Republicans have been part of a behind closed doors movement calling for a return to monarchy. Now they think they have the control to carry it out. There have been several very well written pieces about this over the last 8 years.

I, for one, cannot wait to hear about the malicious compliance.
