Valid point- there are 6 books total in the series, with 5 couples ( Shane/Ilya get a sequel). They are not all like Scott/Kip. Fingers crossed for future seasons so we can see them on screen.

The show is super faithful/accurate to the novel. Shane & llya are just writren as two of the most competitive people on Earth 😆

Understandable skepticism- but It's based on a book written by a queer lady ( Rachel Reid) & directed by a gay director ( Jacob Tierney) Main characters noth have huge stakes about being outed ( both famous Olympians-1 is biracial, other is Russian) . This thing is not made for the straight gaze.
