Remember, "mistakes" are only ever a mistake if they bring you further from what you're trying to draw in that moment. Otherwise, nothing is inherently wrong.

The only goal of this is to give you another tool to diagnose what you're drawing so you can decide if it's something you want or not!
Think of it like a wheel on a stick graphic of a wheel on a stick, split into planes, and upon each plane is a face rotated in line with the perspective of the wheel. There are transparent red and blue lines showing the static red and the moving blue axises This is about as clean a rotation can get! IMPORTANT EXCEPTION! (And why it's important to think about how you're rotating) A graphic of a head turning to the left statically, with only one axis of rotation This is not a natural movement! The neck moves via muscles pulling them, so in horizontal head turns we can expect some rotation as the sternocleidomastoid (SCL) muscle contracts graphic of three heads, the one in the center facing the camera and the two on either side turned inwards towards the head in the center. The top of the turned heads is angled away, signifying some extra rotation due to the forces of the SCL which is marked in red along the neck Anyways, it's all arbitrary. It's only a "mistake" if you didn't want it! This just helps diagnose some frequent hidden issues. Rotate freely! A bunch of loose sketches of a figure looking in different directions, some in clean orientation to the body and others skewed away from the body's orientation
