I read Six of Crows, Crooked Kingdom, and One Dark Window all in one month - lots of dark stories which seems fitting. I also made an effort to read Black fiction - most notably a few by Denise Williams. My favorite though was First Time Caller - perhaps I’m biased for the Baltimore references.

The Wedding People was a real standout - the best book I’ve read in a long time. The Wedding Season was surprisingly good too - on my TBR unread for years because of the Barbie-looking girl on the cover. #booksky #storygraph #readingstats

Categories read from highest to lowest: Romance, Contemporary, Fantasy, Art. There’s a graphic for print vs digital vs audio but it’s full of lies because I don’t even know how to indicate which format I read these in, but I’ll tell you that the truth is that it’s predominantly audio followed by ebook and I read two physical books this month (Griffin and Sabine and Onyx Storm). There is also a graphic of how many pages were read each day which is also lies - it’s more likely showing how long each book I finished was and on which day it was finished.

Dear America, Notes of an Undocumented Citizen by Jose Antonio Vargas. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Cover is yellow with a black fingerprint in the center. The word Citizen is underlined. Yeah yeah Spotify Wrapped blah blah blah. But this year I got a “personal message” from Kishi Bashi even though for the first time in 3 years, he wasn’t my #1 artist. I think this is the first time he’s done one in a while bc in 2021, I was in the top .01% of his listeners with thousands of minutes.

My November reading stats from StoryGraph! The digital vs. audio is all wrong - I don’t even know where to indicate that. Zorrie was a beautifully written book and I only read it to get a Z book for my alphabet challenge. #booksky
