Vintage haberdashery fan who loves to collect, draw, research and write about my finds. Long time quilter who is learning to make lace (tatting & needle lace).
Just drawn a recent addition to my habby collection - the front of a box that contains a rug wool cutting tool. Reckon it is late 1969s, picked up in Axeminster for a bargain £1.

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

First 2025 patchwork finish
🎉 Inspired by Victorian pincushions, I initially referred to an Averil Colby book and changed a few bits as I made it. I think mathematically is a dodecahedron star. Really cute, not sure if scale right as only seen in books/online - makes my hands look huge in pics.

Missed this back in April: “When will art institutions begin to pay respect to the legacies of our foremothers’ artistry? And when will we, as a culture, move beyond rigid hierarchies of value and celebrate domestic crafts in their own right?”
My Grandma's Doilies Are Not a Joke

Little pic of a project I have been working on. I’ve called this appliqué workshop Winter Greens as is inspired by the lovely greenery around at the time of the winter solstice. It’s happening as part of the Brighton Winter Fayre which is taking place in front of St Peter’s Church.
