I am a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep his house.
“Troons and pedos”….

Metropolitan elite was sooo much more chic, I so much prefer to be that. Lanyard class just makes me think of overhead office lighting.

Indeed - we only need to look at this tweet to know that!

You have nothing to apologise for - you’re right. It’s not about any one post, but more the broader conversation. It’s a complicated subject - but ultimately solidarity is what matters

But equally I think it’s important to reiterate - trans people do deserve to be able to live our lives fully and freely without harassment, including access to single sex spaces on our terms.

Even if the policy was limited to its intended aim it’s *still* bad in its own right.

Gender non conformity at large *is* under attack.

And also there’s a broader point I made yesterday - the kind of authoritarianism of these kinds of policies does point to a worrying trend of society outside of trans rights.

Oh weirdo policy wonks and journos might like her.

But the actual people that have voted Labour in recent years… I don’t see this kind of politics keeping them on side at all.

Howling at you as a “tankie”. Someone on here called me “centrist” a while back. 🥴

I had this exact conversation with a very well known progressive Labour figure the other day about how the modern split between GCs and the rest would play it re the Pankhursts ahaha

On one side you have the gender criticals - heterodox but broadly conservative and reactionary, believing in the primacy of sex as an absolute category of experience.

And then progressive left feminism which is trans inclusive. It’s obviously way more nuanced than this but Bluesky character limit

It’s why I find the “TERFS aren’t feminists” line a bit of a dead end.

Feminism has a long history of reactionary right wing thought - but by the third wave that was very fringe. I think it’s pretty interesting that arguably we’re seeing a “4th wave split”

I agree although I think the Labour Party would do well to remember the bit about not being inept/cruel as they use “we are less so” argument far too much.
November 21, 2025 at 9:39 AM
Should say *not accurate!
November 21, 2025 at 9:16 AM
Agreed. The “are Labour the same as Reform” debate is so tiresome.

It’s clearly hyperbole and accurate, but equally that just makes it a way for Labour people to focus on debating that statement rather than acknowledging the awful stuff their party does lol
