I have been in disbelief that more people aren't talking about this. The stop work order for agencies supporting newly arrived refugees is beyond devastating and cruel. It's a mess. Newly arrived refugees, invited to resettle here, are suddenly without job placement services and other support.

My first thought was, "have you *met* pediatricians and the AAP? These docs are fierce, they've got us."

I had someone approach me yesterday who was under the assumption that refugee resettlement orgs were lumped in with the other federal grant funding that started to flow again. Do you have capacity for an update there?

:-) It was definitely the most poignant post. Hit it square, square on the head. I'm the person who got a laugh out of this thread and then realized it's time to have a conversation with my kids about how the enemy is fear and not the humans who are ICE officers. Othering is how we end up with ICE.
