Autumn never lasts long enough. This is from a few years back, I really need to make a point of going back to this spot next year.

It says I'm a True Neutral... But it looks like I'm slightly green. 🫣

Oh dear.

Can you tell where I had been parked for most of the storm? 🙄

Still a lot of oak leaves on the trees, but at least almost all of the old needles are down.

Speedy wishes everyone a good #Caturday night.

This is the worst Aurora photo ever, but I'm both excited to see this much color even on my phone, but sad that is mostly cloudy.

Debating taking the big camera and going somewhere with a better view and hopefully less clouds. But it's supposed to get cloudier as the night goes on. 🫤

Not sure why anyone would think this is a bad aspiration.

Speedy would be next to her - he lives under the wood stove in winter. He just comes out to tell me to add more wood. 😆

This is too fun.

Such an odd slogan for a grocery store. Are we supposed to forage for food in there?

My inner graphic designer and writier is chuckling at this.

I wish I could say I heard 12 birds in 10 minutes, but I can't confirm (and highly doubt) the Canada Goose, Red winged Blackbird, and Crow. But I did see turkey vultures and a Pileated Woodpecker (I love them!) in the same 10 minutes!

I think 11 species in 10 minutes is still a record for me. ❤️🪶

How pretty! Here are my geraniums from a month or so ago.

My cat get so excited for bedtime because that's when I brush him. He loooooves his brushes.

He gets so upset if I stay up late and when the time changes. Another reason to get rid of DST.

Good morning everyone.

Yay snow! ❄️

Did someone say it's #LongNeck Day? 🪶
I think this was at the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area
Great Egret trying to be a short neck.

A Prelude to Violence

(in my defense, the pillows were bought long before I knew the manufacturer went to the dark side. This is an old photo, and I no longer have the pillows)

I'm kinda hoping to see a few snowflakes at 4000 ft. I'm weird. 😆❄️

It's already cold and blustery, a good autumn storm.

Someone just pointed out that Slack's logo is 4 ducks sniffing each other's rears. I like it even more now. 🤣

Last, but certainly not least, a profile of Half Dome. This is from Washburn Point, one of my favorite views. It's often quiet because everyone thinks they need to go to Glacier Point further down the road. (a different kind of amazing).

I hope you enjoyed my little trip around the Valley.

Are you tired of Yosemite photos yet? I have a few more fall favorites. My favorite tip about visiting Yosemite - if you're able, go for a walk. Many of the trails are paved and safe for wheelchairs too. Just sit and enjoy the views big and small.

The light is almost always changing, especially when clouds show up.

To Fall or not to Fall? Sometimes the weather tries to stay in the last season, or jump ahead to the next.

Yosemite is home to many magical trees. Somehow all my photos of sequoias are hiding! But there are plenty of other beautiful trees.
