It has changed so much over time and ppl don't realize. I was openly antizionist (not super vocally but in terms of belief/identity) at Stern in the early 2000s and ppl just thought I was weird but accepted me. (Some did get mad at me for protesting the Iraq war, though.)

I can see that, but it's also impractical. The truth is the current system works pretty well! We are having this convo bc ppl are meddling & creating unnecessary rules (& doing so for political reasons, they don't care about sports). Play by your gender, no need to prove anything to anybody
