I’ve never met a Simone St James novel I didn’t love & Lost Among The Living is no exception. Gothic & suspenseful w/ a touch of romance. Set in London after WWI. FMC‘s husband is MIA after the war and she is forced to stay w/ his family in a spooky old house. Def recommend

I’ve never met a Simone St James novel I didn’t love & Lost Among The Living is no exception. Gothic & suspenseful w/ a touch of romance. Set in London after WWI. FMC‘s husband is MIA after the war and she is forced to stay w/ his family in a spooky old house. Def recommend

Finished Zomromcom by Olivia Dade. Fast-paced zombie romcom with a high-fashion, grumpy vampire MMC and a compassionate, kickass FMC. The romance was hot, the banter was great, and the humor had me rolling (FMC singing Gaston was too funny!) I loved every second of this one.

I'm gluten free so I ended up using a different recipe (gf flour can be wonky at times) but it turned out great!
I just ate a ton of it standing in my kitchen. Yay!

Read A Gentleman’s Gentleman by TJ Alexander. A queer romance with trans characters set in 1800s England. The yearning, the wit, the description of beautiful clothing- all done so well. If you are looking for love and hope in these dark times this one might be for you too.

I finished These Summer Storms by Sarah MacLean yesterday and it is the ultimate summer read.

Next was Wooing the Witch Queen by Stephanie Burgis. A cozy romantsy with great world building and colorful characters. The MMC is so gentle and kind and these qualities are seen as strengths. The FMC is very protective of him which is adorable. Lovely romance.

As an OG X-file girlie this has a believer/non-believer set up that’s a lot of fun. The MMC really makes this one as he helps the FMC heal from an abusive relationship while also hunting creepy crawlies.
