Half of the United States has been slowly and carefully inculcated by Fox News to believe that the other half of the country is their enemy and out to ruin their lives. Once this was established, it didn't take long for those viewers to value hurting these other Americans over helping themselves.

This is the correct take. If the situation was hopeless, the propaganda would be unnecessary. If they truly had the power and the mandate, they would not be scrambling to clamp down.
If you want to know why Donald Trump is becoming more unhinged, the answer is simple: he’s realizing that he does not have the mandate he claimed to have.

International tourism is worth $200 billion every year to the US economy.

Sorry, *was.

I, too, feel as if I'm losing my mind! And why are we STILL arguing Social Security AND the "national debt" in same breath? Attacking Social Security is a SHAMELESS SCAM!! The retired, disabled, widows, should turn over THIER $$ to save our country, rather than raise taxes on the "RICH" Sickening

Really feel like I’m losing my mind: government OBVIOUSLY cannot punish an individual law firm for hiring someone it disfavors! It’s ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?
