That definitely makes sense to me! The most important parts of Deus are probably gone, but there's no way people wouldn't at least *try* to use bits of the extremely powerful alien to rebuild after the apocalypse. Citan would totally be itching to get his hands on it

Agreed; to me, this is the answer that both makes the most logical sense (what else would have happened to it?) and the one that fits best with the rest of the worldbuilding (with how messed up everywhere else is in disc 2, it makes sense that there'd be a giant physical remnant of what happened)
