Just watched this gutwrenching video from a mutual friend seeking a bone marrow transplant for their kids. www.instagram.com/p/DMQ2SbfyhGc/ I was reminded how easy it is to sign up to be a bone marrow donor, and how important it is. Text TEAMTHOMPSON to 61474 to join the bone marrow registry today!

Every once in a while I randomly remember the time a man cat called me by singing "Hey little girl, is your daddy home". Which is obviously disgusting, but it also cracks me up and it was so weird that I was a little flabbergasted.
Anyways, what's the weirdest cat call you ever encountered?

The fact that Virginia Woolf wrote to a friend about Vita's legs "If I were she, I would merely stride, with 11 Elk hounds behind me, through my ancestral woods." takes me out.

Coalitie oneens over val kabinet - Crisis voorlopig uitgesteld
Coalitie oneens over val kabinet
De val van het kabinet lijkt aanstaande, maar de coalitiepartijen worden het er maar niet over eens of en zo ja, wanneer het kabinet moet vallen. Volgens insiders zijn de vier partijen keihard gebotst over die vraag.

Remembering Dr. Alan Hart for Pride, trans man from the early 1900s. He revolutionized the detection of tuberculosis, saved thousands of lives, and died using his name, as the man he always was meant to be.

We have always been here.

I'm sure spring nature is very beautiful. Too bad I can't see any of it, because the pollen are attacking my eyes and I can barely keep them open. Enjoy the flowers for me please.

#EverythingIsTuberculosis, including the 1957 third installment of the original #Sissi movies (Fateful Years of an Empress). In this movie, Sissi develops a pain that is diagnosed as a life-threatening lung disease, probably referring to tuberculosis.

Remember the guy who went to Davos and told billionaires to pay their taxes? @rutgerbregman.com's brilliant book #MoralAmbition is now also out in English and he's calling on people with lots of skills and useless jobs to quit and focus on the big problems (and he'll pay you to do that).

I love current pope Bluesky. I am however not getting any of the Chicago jokes. Is it like a Florida man thing? Why is it particularly funny that he's from Chicago? What's ope? What's deep dish? (Actually, I know that one, it's a disgusting-looking pizza). Someone please help me.

If you're bored, I can recommend reading the talk page. It's very fresh and I love people discussing copy with a lot of passion (though that might just be me)
Wiki on the new pope so fresh it still has typos.

I can't believe with how much confidence I was joking just last week about Americans really thinking we were gonna get an American pope. I guess it's a good reminder to stick to shit I actually know something about.

@johngreensbluesky.bsky.social I thought you might appreciate this early birthday present my little sister made for me. Hopefully it'll help me hear "Marco" and say "Polo" more. The quote on the first page is from your acknowledgement in #EverythingIsTuberculosis, which made me cry.
