A reminder for all of us this week: Many of those yelling the loudest on any give day are just looking for attention and love. Let's all try listening more.

And Then There Were None - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I’ve never read an Agatha Christie mystery before and wanted to try one. I enjoyed it even though it wasn’t what I expected. Pretty dark and strange. I can see how her work influenced lots of other mysteries.

Now that February is almost over, I’m finally remembering to share my January reads.

Holding the Calm - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Had to read for Clergy Connection Day. It was ok. Some good takeaways, but pretty repetitive. Didn’t feel very pastoral (which it isn’t supposed to, but was assigned to clergy).

I bought these cookies partly out of spite. As I was looking at them, a woman came over and said, “Nobody needs that many cookies.”

I said I have teenagers at home and more coming over to watch a football game on Saturday.

“But no one needs all those cookies.“

So I bought them.
