The House just held a hearing on 19 (!!) bills related to "kids safety" including several that could mandate online ID checks / age verification, like KOSA and the SCREEN Act.

I sent in a call to the committee just now, and let them know that the way the committee handled the meeting was unacceptable, and demanded that these bills receive additional scrutiny via more meetings

The absolute kicker to all of this is that most of the solutions they are seeking already exist on your phone. They just need to be enabled by parents.

No vote today and there's still a lot of disagreement on these bills, but I wouldn't be complacent.
