The Japan made games seems to be a bit dodgy when it comes to PC ports yeah. There has to be something wrong with Bloodborne since they don't even have a performance patch for the PS5
Demon Souls and Astro Bot is a bit odd. They might see them as niche and just prioritize the blockbuster titles

It'll feel weird but I'll sell both the PS5 and the Series X, since they're just collecting dust, and a hefty chunk of physical games to fund both the Steam Machine and the games I move over to the Steam library that isn't already there

Yeah I totally get it! I took a long hard look at my own gaming habits myself and all I am playing is on Steam or the Switch 2
But I sorely miss playing on the TV after a long work day, so it being a compliment is its biggest appeal to me personally
I can finally play the games I want on the TV

It sure will. How long does it take these days after launch on the PS5 for it to come to PC? 6-12 months for single-player games right?
But if the FOMO is that strong then you can always pick em up Day 1 on PS5

SM doesn't change anything. It just another PC with Steam on it. Sure, a streamlined PC, but still a PC. They would've pulled the plug with Steam Deck if they were worried

I suspect that's close to where it will land except if anything outlandish happens like the RAM prices skyrocketing 'cause of the massive demand for new data centers (AI bs)

That's totally valid. And if you want the true SteamOS experience you could install Bazzite on it. But yeah you don't even need that. Just hook it up to the tv or a monitor and have fun🫡

I will not give any spoilers. All I'm gonna say is yes about that slow start. But stick with it (trust me)
Also... Dying Light: The Beast if you like Dead Island 2 and DL2. It's a very very visceral and way more scary/moody combo of those combined with DL 1

With that said DL2 takes a bit to fire on all cylinders. Once you have all the right unlocks though...

Gasp! Dying Light 2 is eating Dead Island 2's lunch! It was so much more immersive to me
Dead Island 2 felt like a lesser experience overall and a "fix the power" sim. I got so tired of always looking for a battery over and over again
