it's only useless to those who promote the silly notion of "brexitism".

Cultural & educational differences between East & West Germany came to the fore with the same anti-EU anti-Migrant populism the british faced.

the Germans didn't invent a word to paper over the cracks.
December 16, 2025 at 12:36 PM
but that's demonstrably not true. the populism britons faced is verbatim to the rest of Europe.

It could be argued that the english and some Welsh people are very gullible when it comes to populism, which led to brexit, but that's an education problem unique for england. Not Scotland or NI.

the pro russia, anti migrant and anti EU populism is identical right across Europe. britain is no different.

As a reminder: there are no brexit benefits. no upsides, only downsides, for both EU & UK. It really is as simple as that.

Tbilisi two days ago 👇protesting pro russian anti EU bad actors.
I didn’t expect to see such a large crowd today—a day after Georgian Dream introduced a new law restricting protests without prior notice. We still don’t know how aggressively it will be enforced, or how many people they plan to jail.

Day 381 of nonstop protests in Georgia.

sorrywhatpardon? teaching what, exactly? pooling resources is a good thing? Really??

This is all waffle Stuart. None of that has anything to do with any "European Identity". It's called "Common Sense".

the Single Market idea of pooling resources & reducing barriers is 50 years old.
No-deal readiness, Lord Cockfield and the British ingenuity behind the EU single market
The UK helped to deliver the greatest bonfire of red tape in human history. But it is now contemplating the erection of countless new barriers, and in...

97% of Gibraltarians voted remain in 2016.
62% of Scots.
57% of NI voters.

pro russia anti EU and anti migrant populism is right across Europe. it's *not* unique for England and parts of Wales where the majority voted for brexit.

There is a british MEP in prison for accepting russian bribes!!
December 16, 2025 at 10:39 AM
but it's not british. NI, Scottish and Gibraltarians all voted remain in 2016.

It's the exact same anti-EU pro-russian populism in Ireland, Germany, Georgia, Bulgaria, Serbia etc. british MEPs are in jail for accepting russian bribes!!

There is no such thing as "brexitism". It's nonsense.
December 16, 2025 at 10:23 AM
But what's that got to do with "european identity"?

I don't buy into that nonsense. nor the idea people voted for labour because their pro brexit slant. It was because of #GTTO. The current polls reflect that, with labour 4th, not 1st.
December 16, 2025 at 10:04 AM
which is more likely.....62% of Scots, 57% of NI voters and 97% of Gibraltarians have an "European Identity" or knew that brexit was a load of bollocks?

as a reminder: there are no benefits to brexit - "no upsides, only downsides".

the failure to challenge brexit head-on is political cowardice.
December 16, 2025 at 9:54 AM
that's not true. people voted to get the tories out (#GTTO) in 2024. Starmer made his "no to CU, SM and EU in my lifetime" speech 24 hours before the GE vote.

Are those the same MEPs who accepted russian rubles, like ex MEP Nathan Gill?
December 16, 2025 at 9:49 AM
it's like an online witch hunt. I'm struggling to disagree with his main point.

Why is this "brexitism" not in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar? they all voted remain in 2016.
December 16, 2025 at 9:45 AM
it's utter nonsense Stuart. Another invented reason to accept and normalise brexit.

there is no such thing as "European Identity". the Scots, NI and Gibraltarians all voted remain in their droves.

There's also no such thing as "brexitism". It's called political cowardice.

I get the impression Niall agrees with Chris Grey and unable to counter the point being made, they are simply blocking out critique.
December 15, 2025 at 12:56 PM
This is really weird. I cannot disagree with anything he has said. He's 100% correct.

there is no other fix for brexit other than article 49. everything else is, like he says, bonkers. There is no redeemable value to brexit. None.

What brexit benefits will you miss if the UK rejoins EU?
December 15, 2025 at 12:19 PM
I cannot disagree with anything he has said.

there is no other fix for brexit other than article 49. everything else is, like he says, bonkers. There is no redeemable value to brexit. None. Nada. Niente.

What, specifically, do you believe is good keeping from brexit?
December 15, 2025 at 12:17 PM
I think what annoys Niall so much is he's correct.

At least, I cannot disagree with any of his actual points. there is no redeemable benefits or value to brexit. it is, as he puts it, bonkers to suggest there is.
