Apple News presented me with these three headlines simultaneously last night.

I’m sure there must be some clues there about what is ailing our country.

I’m in Waterloo watching massive ads for tourism in the US roll by on a hoarding.

Yeah, good luck with that. Think I’ll give it a swerve for then next 4 years.

The 2024 GE manifesto, that builds on policy developed over years of evidence-gathering and policy elaboration, says these things among many others- it’s literally all online: www.libdems.org.uk/manifesto

Can anyone make this make sense? With my date of birth (early 1968), I become eligible for the shingles vaccine some 3 to 5 years *after* 3 of my younger siblings (1969, 1972 and 1973). #NHS

When friends send me flowers, this is something I like to do- make the flowers live on if I can. It has worked well with these white roses.
Most cut roses can be rooted and grown on.

We used to love going as tourists to the US, long road trips and amazing National Parks.

We were lucky enough to be at Giant Geyser when it went off in July 2018 after a gap of several years.

Who know how long till we can go back?

A very moving letter from a prison cell from Georgian liberal Democratic Party leader, where the current regime in their slide into Russian-style authoritarianism is imprisoning opposition party leaders on trumped up charges.

That’s what I like- clean and cheap.

It ill behoves the shadow chancellor to berate the Labour government over public borrowing. Does he really think the general public are stupid?

1) my post was clearly before the result of the Hamilton by-election.
2) this is not quite the resounding win you make it out to be.
If you think the Reform result is trivial, prepare to be horrified by 2029.

I bought some bulbs online. They are meant to be Calla lilies. These do not look like calla lilies. Or maybe this what the leaflets look like before they unfurl.
What triffid have I got here??

I just dashed across SW1 to try to be there to applaud President Zelenskyy as he arrived at Downing Street to meet the PM, sadly I just missed him.

Three years today since we stopped wondering where Putin would enact his threats and invade his sovereign neighbour Ukraine. Three years of wanton invasion, violence, destruction and death. Three years that my lovely guests have been living in limbo, wondering when they can go back to their lives.

Will he really not? Sell out his principles? Let’s see how this one plays out shall we.

If he won’t, I bet there are people around him who will for Musk’s money.

Right now we are generating most of our power from the wind (well over 80%) and exporting a big chunk to mainland Europe. It’s also very, very, cheap to generate right now.

Right now, more than half our electricity is coming from the wind. Generating from renewables is cheaper generation. Increasing renewables benefits us on many levels.

I suggest that the follower list for large dead bird accounts such as Barack Obama give us insights into user number trends on Twitter. It’s unlikely existing users would actively unfollow him in such large numbers -unless they are leaving the place.
