This is one of those examples where, if the flood hadn’t happened and a camp director was telling you about this story it would be a perfect example of red tape, bureaucracy, the hassle of regulation etc. And yet.

From Camarillo to Carpinteria, firing tear gas and less lethals at children, congressman being denied entry by soldiers, and one lone man tries to stop a military convoy with his El Camino.

Raids are still happening over L.A. today, btw, and Santa Ana is being hit especially hard right now.

Just to underscore--the president is attending the opening of an immigrant tent city that was purposely built (in one week) on an abandoned airfield in the middle of the Florida Everglades because it's surrounded by alligators and pythons to deter people from fleeing, or kill them if they do.
Uhh...last week NYT reported construction on "Alligator Alcatraz" would start today. Now NBC News reports it's *opening* tomorrow with Trump likely in attendance "set up quickly — in roughly one week — by the DeSantis administration."
Trump expected to visit the 'Alligator Alcatraz' detention facility this week
The immigration detention facility in the Florida Everglades has drawn protests and faces a lawsuit.

Re. the Fed.Soc. website. I can't tell you how often I've seen sophisticated people, academics & practitioners alike, google someone and say something like, "oh look, they're a member of the federalist society." It's misleading & it's a crappy way to treat people who agree to do their events.
I really wish that I would be removed as well. It's simply misleading. And it falls into the category of "no good deed goes unpunished" for those of us who did an event or events to be a good sport or whatnot.
