Already looking ahead to 2026 for the #Reds. I’m guessing the position player plan is:
C: Stevo/Trevino
1B: Sal
2B: McLain
SS: Elly
3B: Hayes
OF: combo of Friedl, Marte, Hector, maybe Benson (out of options)
Lux, Steer stay but shouldn’t def be starters. Need a couple power bats for OF/DH.

School shootings have killed 18 people and injured 59 this year, according to @edweek.bsky.social's tracker. Last week's shooting in WI brought this year's total to 39 shootings -- more than one per week of the school year. That's about the same number as last year, but still more than pre-COVID.

Very interesting. Believe it or not I was thinking about this trade a few days ago as something that would make sense for both teams given the Reds’ past interest in Singer and the Royals looking for a leadoff guy. Not the best Stuff+ numbers but pretty dependable and relatively cheap for 2 years.

Very interesting. Believe it or not I was thinking about this trade a few days ago as something that would make sense for both teams given the Reds’ past interest in Singer and the Royals looking for a leadoff guy. Not the best Stuff+ numbers but pretty dependable and relatively cheap for 2 years.
Early morning airport thoughts: If the #Reds spend on a free agent this offseason, it shouldn’t be one of the big bats. It should be Shane Bieber. It’d have to be a short deal after TJ, but if we can make due in the rotation w/ rehab, having him and Hunter to start a playoff series would be nails.

Wondering if India to the Yankees for Clarke Schmidt is palatable to NYY. They pursued India at the deadline and would fill their 2B hole and leadoff spot. Schmidt would really help our staff. #Reds
