Google would rather this laptop be eWaste than continuing to issue Google Chrome and Linux Updates to it. We need to fight e-waste.

In other news I have a good travel laptop now.

They're just going to use an outdated version of Windows short of Microsoft remotely disabling Windows users ability to login to their computer. It's possible some consumers, in that outcome, will get mad and buy Chromebooks, but a mass exodus to Linux isn't going to happen lol.

The whole "Year of the Linux Desktop" thing has always bothered me. If you like Linux use it, don't wait around for others to switch. About 1% of computer users run Linux which is a huge part of the population. We are thriving as a community, and no amount of Windows or Mac users can take that away!
