Another headline on Sina right now: "As Americans Rush to Xiaohongshu, It's the End for Jewish Capital!"

According to this piece, zoomers are joining the app because "they don't want to be controlled and brainwashed" by shadowy Jewish tech barons. Welcome to the world of PRC media, we hate it here!

Fascinating article. Especially interested in how since the Trump election last week and Rubio's appointment yesterday, this HK uni could snap up so many academics from the US. Impressive lightening speed academic job search!

There are many reasons why people are leaving Hong Kong, and I'm not sure whether articles like this will help or hurt those left behind.

Good resource for conversations with students.

As I am learning how to introduce AI into conversations about academic honesty, I'm still wrapping my head around our T&L center telling us to use ChatGPT in our classes and also redesign our assessments so students cannot plagiarize using it.
Thank you! I’ve been searching for the words to explain this better. There’s no such thing as original content using AI.
This is not how one avoids plagiarism.

This is how one HIDES plagiarism.
