Good reference. I enjoyed those two episodes a lot. When asked if owls are smart, Gutierrez said "...owls are no smarter or dumber than any other bird." They are specialized, and if you can't train them like corvids, that doesn't mean they're dumb, IMO.

I had a similar experience making a sword with my dad out of leftover baseboard molding, electrical tape, gold paint, and a scrap of extra leather. Still need to buy a real-ish sword made of steel , though.
