Guess what happens when one country stops investing in universities (at federal and state levels) and another country turns up the investment dial?
US higher education was a crown jewel, generating knowledge, wealth, prestige, and power unrivaled by anyone.

And the US is throwing it away, because Americans elected a govt ideologically opposed to truth, science, merit, and racial/gender equality, preferring to weaken the country to reduce that.

Legal analyst Elie Mystal explains how Trump's latest executive order upended the Civil Rights Act. When it comes to civil rights violations or discrimination claims, the DOJ will no longer consider one specific kind of evidence:

Math
The DOJ Just Made It Almost Impossible to Prove Racism Exists
By rolling back “disparate impact" claims, the Trump administration is reducing courts to mere rubber stamps for the white supremacy written into the laws.

As in the 14th Amend Sec. 3 insurrection case, & the Trump immunity case, this Court when dealing w/Trump continues to rule as though they are facing a hypothetical scenario rather than ruling in the context of an actual executive whose conduct demonstrates the worst case scenario of abuse of power.
How is SCOTUS going to ensure that every individual, before the govt puts them on a plane to a foreign prison, is notified they’re subject to rendition, and has the opportunity to challenge it?
The government isn’t providing that notice now.
