Impossible - the kiss had not yet been invented! - but I am sure that they lovingly linked thumbs.

(This is a reference but possibly a bit obscure)

Incompetence should always be the top explanation on the list for the behavior of this administration and its lackeys in Congress.

The only ones who really seem to know what they are doing are Miller and SCOTUS.

Fortunately, Miller has the opposite of charisma and even SCOTUS seems to have a limit

Atara Cafe was a FRENCH onion soup, as is the one at Ticho.

The (now defunct) Atara Cafe in Jerusalem had an onion soup that my father always had to go eat whenever he was in Israel.

I'm pretty sure that my father also likes the one at Beit Ticho, also Jerusalem.

However, I don't know if he's ever had a treif version...

I am wondering how effed he is now with his own caucus - I suspect that the unanimous vote was done with the assumption by MANY that Thune would fix things on the Senate end.

Granted, I don't think that my story is that unusual for a Jew living in the NYC metro, but it was certainly unusual to me.

I think that the absolute funniest outcome would be if there's evidence that Bill didn't touch anyone.

I'm pretty sure that he did, BTW, and I hope that this finally seals his reputation, but it would still be funny.

You know that Wicked: For Good is coming out, right?

It is how I like others to address any advice to me, so I practice it as much as possible - thanks for noticing!

My last thought is that your current bag of flour may be absorbing more liquid than you are used to. If that's the case then increasing your hydration could be what's needed.

I am officially out of ideas 😁

The time under the lid while it is steaming should not matter too much beyond 20 minutes - according to Hamelman in "Bread" (my go to bread bible) the yeasts will have mostly died off by about 20 minutes.

So, looking at the pictures again, I would wonder whether you have UNDER proofed the loaf. I am only really basing this on the look of some of the scoring where the dough maybe (?) appears to have torn rather than just expanded.
November 18, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Also also: I saw your other post about leaving the lid on. How long do you usually leave it on for?

Hope I'm not overstepping.

Another thought: what's your hydration level?

Another 'nother thought: Is it possible that you are overproofing during the second prove? That would cause a collapse after an initial spring (which you would not see because the cover is on the dutch oven)

How hot is the Dutch oven when the loaf is placed within it?

AIPAC has pretty much always worked through bundlers and not through direct donations. As a result no one really knows how much in donations they are responsible for each year.

There's also a misunderstanding of the role $ plays in all this. It's more about access than buying votes.

Marshall Islands are a tax haven so they have a keen interest in US fiscal laws and policy.
November 18, 2025 at 9:15 AM
Due to their approach, no one actually knows how much money AIPAC has directed to politicians over the years.
