I got a couple of books to help me understand the process better.

Seed to Seed by Susanne Ashworth and Breeding Your Own Vegetable Varieties by Carole Deppe. They have been immensely informational and they are the ones I'll be referring back to for the process

Yeah, tomatoes are a bit more complicated.

From what i remember you have to do a little dissection of the flowers to get to the anthers before they've pollinated themselves. But because the anthers are protected in a cone is why the dissection needs to take place.

Ooooo, I've wanted to grow hibiscus for a minute because it should do really well in my area.

With an economic collapse on the horizon... maybe we can rebuild something better out of the rubble, something that actually works for disabled and the Neurodivergent

It's gonna cause a lot of harm in the short term though 😓

I would like a lifetime supply of sleep tokens so i don't ever have to awake to this nightmare again, but i assume that these are not literal sleep tokens, much to my dismay

I hope they bring back all the fated 4!

Mizu is a great fight in Rise, Glavenus was great was in Iceborne and Astalos was fun as heck in Sunbreak.

But Gammoth hasn't returned yet 🥺

I wanna garden then play video games, but otherwise same.

Working to barely survive is such an outdated idealogy and practice and we need to find a better system

And yeh, it's gonna be brutal down in south texas as well 😩 i prefer the heat in general but sometimes...

Purslane will occasionally grow wild in my garden, I'll see if i can get it to propagate and go from there

Oh interesting, I've never heard of smashed cucumber salad! I've had the Mediterranean (Jerusalem) cucumber/tomato/onion salad but that's typically just cut up small not smashed.

I'll definitely have to look into that

I'll start them this weekend then, our nights are still cool and will be throughout all March, April, May, and about half of June
March 8, 2025 at 2:32 AM
Experimentation likely in order then
March 8, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Oh, i like arugula, that should be fine for me then!
March 8, 2025 at 2:25 AM
Written down and researching
March 8, 2025 at 2:22 AM
Maybe as an ornamental then 🤔
March 8, 2025 at 2:13 AM
Oh no, and i don't grow okra specifically because i don't like the slime. I have wild nopal cactus growing where i live, but i don't harvest for food because slime. So malabar is probably not for me
March 8, 2025 at 2:13 AM
Hmmmmmmmmm, yeah, might skip the malabar then
