Speaking of rare and Nintendo Store, I am surprised I never seem to see etched DS consoles around NYC. The store used to have a service where they would laser your DS for $20.

He came out to the NYC Nintendo Store in 2005 and did a signing. I was the first person in line to NOT get in. They gave out stickers with his signature to put on your DS and a print of a drawing he did of Mario to people in line. I still see stuff from this event around the city from time to time.

I tracked down a copy of Secret of Mother 2! I couldn’t find any pics or info of what was on the poster. One side is the photo from the cover, the other is notes. Lots of stuff inside I hadn’t seen before. My favorite might be this postcard that has a Picross of a Mr Saturn on the back.

Random Game Saturday - it’s the shareware version of Quake! Out of the box it is only episode one, but the entire game is on there if you have a key. It is also playable in a cd player and contains the entire Nine Inch Nails soundtrack.
