1) Sadly trans authors are too often questioned, shamed and harassed until they are either outed (like I was) or decide to stop publishing their work.
I have known trans authors who decided not to write trans books SOLELY because they did not want to be harassed for their rep.

I hadn't seen trans guys in a published book I just grabbed off the bookshelf, written by a trans guy, until I was in my 30's.

I am so tired of transmasc rep being boiled down to a cis man the text claims is trans once.
It is not that they are masculine it is that these characters always lack interiority. Because the transmasc experience is unknowable, society makes that so.
