Subject lead for History, CPD enthusiast & delivery (NPQLTD), mother of 3, book lover.
I’m also contributing to We Are In Beta’s Curriculum Thinking Week, delivering a session on effective feedback in history.

A great opportunity to reflect on how feedback drives progress—and how it connects curriculum, pedagogy, and long-term learning.

Then on July 12th, I’ll be at the @1972shp.bsky.social in Leeds.

SHP never disappoints—full of practical ideas, academic rigour, and subject-specialist conversation. Looking forward to recharging and refocusing ahead of the new year. #SHP2025

Next came the @unitedlearning.bsky.social Quality of Education Conference, focused on instructional coaching.

I’m now co-developing a coaching implementation plan with our Head of PD—exploring how coaching can underpin consistent, high-quality teaching across school.

It began with the brilliant Teaching Medieval Women project by @uonhumanities.bsky.social

This led to a review of our KS3 curriculum through an inclusion lens—resulting in new units exploring global power structures in the medieval world, beyond Britain and beyond the male lens. 🌍👑
