One of the biggest carve-outs for fair use of a score is actually using it as a music theory analysis subject in a theory class. Don’t know how that applies to tests that are sold or for literature.

Yeah, the most obvious to always share is getting options in order for a project, and probably changing defaults to one’s liking. Many properties have a corresponding option, so if you’re changing the property frequently, you probably just want to tweak the option.

I’m happy to give them. It’s always easier to give specific tips seeing the things people are butting their heads against, but the general one is just getting very comfortable with Dorico’s way of thinking so you’re not “cutting against the grain.”

If you want someone to hop on a screen-sharing Zoom with and yell at about the program as if it’s their fault who can give advice 30-60% of the time for how to use it better, I do that for free for people.

Its dynamic handling can take some getting used to for sure. I remember reading the explanation of why copy-pasting works the way it does 5+ years ago and it making sense, but that knowledge has passed from my brain.
