All done & dusted. 15 days in hospital & I’m finally free. Time to recover & adjust to my new appendage, then get back to gym because lost so much strength due to the surgery. Been an awful year, beginning with the loss of my stepfather & ending with loss of my bladder. Hoping next year is better 🤞

Perfect antidote to waking and not feeling so good. Hearing a knocking on the ward window and it’s some seagulls asking if there’s any leftovers from our breakfasts. Mood instantly lifted 🥰

Going to use this space to vent. Only know a couple of people on here so basically talking to the void.
Today I have been diagnosed with not one but two forms of bladder cancer. So in a few weeks they will be removing it. Going to take a bit of time to process this… (will probs delete this later).

The end of a difficult year for me but there’s been positives. In Feb I travelled to Canada alone to see my daughter (not an easy feat when you’re disabled). Sadly I wasn’t at all well but I did it. March/April was all about hospitals. I came away from that still having two feet (just).
