Raced in the heat this last Saturday at #CalicoRacing Running with the Devil with a time of 2:03:43 for a half-marathon in Lovell Canyon west of Las Vegas, Nevada. Calico Racing did a great job with water, ice buckets, and food. Here is a picture of me running that I didn't pay for!

Honored to be in Washington D.C. right now and selected for American Association of State Colleges and Universities @aascu.org 2025 Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). I am excited for the upcoming week and look forward to taking a deep dive into higher ed leadership.

Had an absolute blast on March 1 at the Red Mountain "Dirty Hurty" Half Marathon, a 14-mile trail run in Ivins, Utah. Finished 11th overall and 1st in my age group. Highly recommend this one: beautiful course and well managed race. Marking my calendar to run the 30K in 2026.

Nevada State University undergraduate Mikayla Ward (`25) conducting HVSR passive seismology survey at base of Frenchman Mountain in Las Vegas Valley to map depth to fault. We are creating a profile of 30° dip fault exposed 400m up slope to see how well HVSR does in geologically complex environment.

#MesaMarathon was a tale of two 1/2s for me. First 1/2 completed in ~1:46 and feeling good. Second 1/2 at mile 16, knee pain hits and I finish the whole thing in ~4:11. A wonderful feeling to finish marathon #5 and nothing but good things to say @MesaMarathon. A run well-done and Mesa AZ was awesome
