Apple selling this for $230 isn't a surprise. People buying it is!

In 4 days, millions will no longer be able to eat, when SNAP benefits cease to exist due to gov't shutdown.

Add to that the millions who will soon no longer have access to healthcare for life-saving needs.

This isn't an ambiguous future state... it's happening now.

We used to buy extra groceries for the school when for this reason. We were fortunate enough to afford to do so. Also donated the free giveaways.

These are all examples of how #WeThePeople will fix our communities, our society, and our country while our elected officials continue to fail us.

1/2 of me thinking "Hubris in practice of disrupting the natural order of things."

Not suggesting we remain silent. Just highlighting there are things we can do like sell our shares in companies we don't support, stop shopping at stores we don't support, or in this case, self-insure ourselves. We continue to support systems or orgs we don't like, and then complain about them.

Doesn't that mean then that those of us who are invested in their shares - directly or via retirement / pension plans, etc. - are to blame? How many of us know if our mutual funds / portfolios are those shareholders? Do we have heads in the sand, just wanting returns but blaming the CEOs & Boards?

I feel like we're in the midst of a massive experiment of modernized "natural selection;" time will determine which sets of beliefs in, or dismissals of what we call 'science' will win-out.

As a fellow tribe member, I wonder what is the correct dress code? What don't #pinksocks go with?
