Yes! There's a lot of really interesting stuff. And listening to the ways Keith manipulated her is infuriating and fascinating. The whole stuff about the question and volleyball. I had seen some of that in The Vow, but the leaving and coming back shit? Ugh.

Then sometimes I think they're just trying to make the podcast DRAMATIQUE. I do appreciate hearing her story. I just wish it didn't involve quite so many voices intoning, "She knew she would have to take... ACCOUNTABILITY."

I'm trying to keep an open mind, but things like the foreboding music cue when they brought up the victim impact statements at her sentencing was a lot. Allison was victimized by Keith. He manipulated him. Itt doesn't need the dramatics. They undercut her story, IMO.

I'm struggling with some of the framing in this podcast. They seem to have the agenda of clearing Allison, like when they were describing this, it had a tone that felt like they were blaming Kristin for Allison getting involved. Not heavily, but it was there. I don't know. I've listened to two.

For about two years I did every opening brunch shift at my old restaurant in DC. We were right near the zoo and two conference hotels. People would wait two hours in line. My partner would arrive two hours after me and we would go through gallons upon gallons of milk. Two of us on the same machine.

I see people throwing themselves in front of armored feds on the streets. People pushing to get close to Broadview ICE to stop the evil horrors inside & out. Regular people are throwing themselves into the path of danger daily & their reward is to have their health care taken away by rich cowards

I know many of us are tired, scared & angry. When you can, if you can, channel that into doing what you can to help. Every day it's more clear the only ones who are going to save us ... are us.

Whenever you start to say "people should do x," it's you. You're "people." We're "people." It's just us.
