It's the kind of article we'll look back on in 20 years with nostalgia, when everything's written with AI.

It's possible that trying to chew the Bazooka Joe gum is one reason why I don't like gum.

Maybe also easier to understand why those "could have been an e-mail" meetings happen. Because with e-mails like this, it couldn't have been an e-mail.

Maybe you are a robot after all?

The other camera did catch it, so it's possible (I don't know how this sort of thing works) that one camera was tasked with following the ball downfield to film the return, and one camera was tasked with staying on the punter in case of a penalty or block.

I've been wondering if this is still there.

So, this is less a mistake and more an accurate reflection of a Russian human?

If it was good the first time...

Somehow, this has never bothered me. I've always mentally responded to any declaration that something's going to last forever with "Forever is a long time, and I doubt it will last that long."

Oh, that was a reference to bank robber Willie Sutton's humorous answer to this question.

When asked why he robbed banks, he said "Because that's where the money is."

Why do you rob banks?

Sounds like the second daughter, Hodel, in Fiddler on the Roof. But she managed to convince her guy, Perchik, to get married.

Because that's what people do. They speculate. Especially conspiracy-minded people for whom the result does not conform to their expectations.

I think I read that Sliwa turned down several gifts to entice him to drop out of the race, which is the opposite of being offered a deal to stay in.

(Although it's certainly possible that people on both sides were trying to bribe him to drop out or stay in.)

It looks like it is not true. (There are many copies of the Resolute Desk--wikipedia details a lot of them, if you're curious--and this article says that the details and dimensions of this copy differ from the real one.)

Is the Resolute Desk at Mar-a-Lago?
Queen Victoria gave the desk to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1880.

What's going on depends on the last person to talk to him.

If you drill down deep enough, there's a mystery to just about everything.

I saw the first two episodes. Not a huge horror fan, but it's been good. Confused about the timeline because I just read the book and haven't seen the movies, and this takes place after the kids experiences in the book. Movies must have shifted the timeline.

This is 100% somebody who loves cop shows and movies where the gun is the instrument of control.

The extra $2000 everybody is paying via tariffs?

If I took out a 50 year mortgage, I'd have it paid off when I'm over 100.

(Is this a thing that the government needs to do? Can banks decide on the length of the mortgage themselves? Or is it something that somebody needs to spur them to do, or what? What's the gov's role in this?)
