Finished Road Trip mode and it's fine I guess, I don't really like any of the challenges that have to do with attacking a rival because the spin is so annoying to actually do and the whole thing just feels like I'm slopping around the track

the biggest negatives are the other vehicles, planes particularly are just boring to deal with and their segments could be replaced with actual track. I also still miss the actual Sega crossovers from Transformed a lot

it's one of those cases where the "friction" of running back and forth would ruin the pacing and the speed of jumping around the map and then riding from the nearest point keeps me engaged and wanting to see the next vista, especially in Yotei where they really dial in the beautiful scenery

I guess I'm just in that phase where I've played so many games that it's really easy for me to see the path to where a game is good. Like that meme of the person who's watched a ton of movies looping back to just liking the simple things instead of pushing only for "cinema"
