Air Riders is a frustrating game for me because I feel like I should like it a lot, what's there is clearly made well for what it's trying to be but I just don't enjoy the racing part, I don't really like the frantic battling in the arena part and Top Ride is very limited, better than GC though

Obviously Prime 4 takes immediate priority and Octopath 0 will probably be great but I've got a nice lineup of smaller stuff to get around to too. Battle Suit Aces, Stray Children, In Stars and Time, Neon Inferno, Silksong lol, Kingdoms of the Dump, Birdcage, Ooo, Demonschool and Keeper all await

Finished the Grand Prix stuff in Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, great tracks, awesome music, takes a while to get used to the way drifting has this kind of weird two stage cut to it and the items are still SO frantic. Seems fun to jump back into every now and then to unlock some more stuff

Has anyone ever seen these BoxPlates for the PS5? My entire setup looks really nice except for the PS5 Pro, which is a hideous behemoth but it'd be so nice to turn it into a nice squared off PS4 looking thing instead, just worried about retaining proper airflow store.devynpc.com/products/box...

Finished Ghost of Yotei and I think it's just a better game than the first in every possible way, start to finish. It's so weird watching Sony's gaas stuff just fail and fail and fail (with 1 success) while all of their normal games are really great. Just let your devs make good stuff, please

Seems like the only deals to be had this year are on TVs or very specific games. Everything else either went back to full msrp or even slightly higher and then had a larger discount percentage just leading to the same price or a bit more. Thanks for the garbage economy big orange

I think Sony's open world games are just really well done. GoT/Y, the Spidermen, Horizon, Days Gone to a lesser extent, they've all done a great job reiterating and improving on side stuff and looping it back in to the main game, bolstered by super quick load times that keep you moving

I have a hard time buying that games even need indie games to be a savior for them when I can play 100+ games with only a few bigger indies mixed in and have a top tier year. It's more like gaming is really good the second you stop playing the f2p stuff and multiplayer battle pass trash

I really don't need a new PC at all, I have a 4080 and it's more than good enough but it's so tempting to grab parts now anyway while you can actually get a complete build for $2000 or less

Over time open world games have especially changed side content to loop and feed back into the main story in such a way that getting 100% can often feel almost mandatory especially if you want a satisfying story. I don't always enjoy that but some games like Ghost of Yotei pull it off very well

I finished Persepolis Rising so I'm down to two Expanse books left. Just gonna truck on through them (and play the Telltale game) and we'll see how long that takes. I'm at 19 books for the year and it'd be neat to hit that nice 20 but eh, maybe. It's been great getting back into reading regularly

Sometimes I see other people "dumpster" a game or "flush" a game or whatever after like an hour or one session and I wonder when people became so picky and instantly judgmental. People pat them on the back and say it's good to drop stuff but I don't know if they've even given it a chance at all

I waited 9 years for Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road. And what I got was peak sports anime rpg story mode. And then beyond that a completely ridiculous amount of side modes that I could play for years. In the end it was actually worth the wait.

The Gaming Plan for the week is to preferably finish Inazuma Eleven's story mode tonight, dig into the Analogue 3D more, maybe play more Yotei. Next week is Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Metroid Prime 4 and Octopath 0. Prime 4 gets all the attention as I try to ignore Christmas Hell

Integrated the Analogue 3D into the setup and now here we are. GameCube and CoreGrafx placements are temporary, I don't really use the GBA Consolizer because the Pocket is just easier to deal with, the blue Wii is there for aesthetics and the Series X is unplugged/awaiting removal
