it's why American political comedy is about leveraging your own certainty of your particular congregation over any kind of playful engagement. funny thing is, in that space things are never actually funny, they're just laughable. and why not? a laugh that lands is jump scare's more sociable twin

hindsight isn't 20-20 actually: from be-hind, we can *only* see the cart as it's moving away, and we end up wondering why the new cart we got isn't moving. we need foresight, insight, other sights? warcraft 3 had farsight and that sounds useful too. we end up sarumaning our palantirs eventually tho

sometimes there's substance to the claims, but there's more cart-before-the-horse-ing than there is actual merit--it's similar to the irl deep game mechanic that leads to the devaluation of credentials

it could be "literally" that too? scientific understanding is models and an artist is free to think up anything about made up things, even if it's mostly reflective of models or rhyming with those models

speculating ofc but youtube told me w old vg music (like atari old) musicians did smth like pixel art dithering to use "impossible" sounds for their vision, directly w machine code too, so maybe the romhack music bg lends just teases that sort of stuff out—or bec he's a "rich kid school" kid lol
