So tired of the Toronto-centred media talk about Rogers’s baseball asset. Hoping for a Dodgers’ sweep.

I noticed the two flags years ago and it amused me that this small subversion had escaped the repressive CCP’s notice. I suppose the controversy was inevitable. Let’s fight current trends and show our solidarity with the threatened democracy.

International lacrosse tournaments without Haudenosaunee representatives are bogus.

I think already official symbols—steller’s jay, flag, dogwood—should have been excluded from the list. Friday morning’s panel’s hate for the flag turned something fun to dark and menacing.

Demolished in BC? Well, it’s a start.

Misspelling a Canadian province is not cool.

@centristhumanist.bsky.social is not wrong CBC Radio has been running from hard news since the Paul Martin cuts. At no time is this more evident than the dog days of summer.

I’d like to understand what is the significance of Juneteenth to Canadians? Many of the American black immigrants/refugees to BC of the 1850s returned to the US after the 13th Amendment. Slavery was abolished in Canada 1 August 1834.

That’s a significant benefit for visitors and residents in Laurentia. With no federal museums, just 3 weekly Via trains and national parks distant from population centres there is little benefit to British Columbians or our tourism industry.

They are boo’ing the man who values owners’ revenues above the game.

Last seventeen ferries built out of BC. Tax payers’ dollars leaving forever. Perhaps we need to look into the reason why they don’t build and assist. A province of 900,000 transformed its waterfronts to built Victory ships in 2WW.

Seems disingenuous to lay the blame for this decision at the feet of the feds. Simply direct BC Ferries to partner with Seaspan and Point Hope to build the first 4 here. There’s a boost for the province’s shipbuilding industry.
