These problems are why CJR activists should pair their activism’s with policies designed to help victims too. Lots of win-win potential if those bridges can be built.

But, if you are worried about Trump sending a lot of people back to prison who were placed on home confinement because of their risk level and health concerns you either treat everyone the same or get judged for who gets a break or who doesn’t.

It appears he left NYC. So I suspect the feds are likely involved now. If they know his identity, I suspect the feds will try to get tech companies to give them push tokens apps he is associated with. PTs do not use E2EE and not clear if 4A protects PTs.

An August vacation is the best time to take a break from Texas. The heat is the worst in Aug., and the crazy politicians are least likely to do something to ruin the trip.

I also hate this practice when they overbook people on a flight. They lowball people and offer flight credit to take another flight when federal law entitles people to a refund if they are denied boarding. It’s a very predatory system with airlines.

It stems from a rule of crim. pro. that the def. must receive a copy of the indictment at arraignment to enter a plea. If this doesn’t happen, the def. lacks notice of the charge.

This error never happens. The attorney receives the indictment and waives formal reading of it at arraignment.
