Heavy on the “find your lane and invite people”. Our school sanctuary team started up last spring, and our work deepens each day. School is an intersection point of so many different people/issues in our communities, and I encourage people to plug in there every chance I get.

I’m into this topic and can’t wait to read what you write. I’m critical of my community building…there’s friction as an autistic person during “group work”. Masking, hard to create accommodations, and so on. I still have meaningful ways I plug in, but wish my brain worked better in social groups.

The whole album is excellent and feels empowering if you’re into hip hop, organizing, and thinking about what we do in between and beyond protests…

Love how your coworker put this, it’s very true. People always think I’m coming in freezing this time of year (Chicago winter), but usually I’m complaining about being too hot from messing up the cycling layers again…but always love the movement and kindly try to get folks interested.

Lovely! And yes you can…the petals range from a ginger or cardamom flavor. You can pickle them, infuse syrup/liquids or sugar, make jam…and great as edible garnish!

Yayy! It is Magnolia blossom season! Fun fact: these flowers are edible, and have a nice ginger/cardamom flavor. It’s fun to make magnolia sugar for baking, infusions, or just gaze at them haha. I think some types of magnolia also have an early fall bloom too!
